Kansas & Missouri

Welcome to our caravan page! Many of you have traveled with us before in previous caravans, while for others, this will be your first time. Either way, our goal is to make this the biggest and best caravan ever and this seems like a good place for a commercial, and if you haven't seen it take a few minutes to learn all about the NCM 20th Anniversary Caravan:

A portion of our caravan begins in the Pacific Northwest picking up participants along the way as they travel for several days before they join us. We anticipate as many as a thousand Corvettes will leave Columbia Missouri with us in route to Bowling Green.

Check out this video in 2003 when our caravan was leaving Kansas City heading to Bowling Green we expect about the same number of Corvettes leaving Columbia, MO this year.

Registration
Pre-Registration is closed, as of 7/21//2014 there are almost 7800 individuals registered for the event with about 230 of those in our caravan.

They serve a nice breakfast which is included.

8/26/14 Caravan Arrival Party 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Missouri Auto Auction, 421 N Rangeline Rd, Columbia, MO 65201. The local Mid-Missouri Corvette Club has put together quite the Welcoming Party for everyone. A DJ will be entertaining us, and the local Chevrolet Dealership McCosh Chevrolet will be on hand for any checkup, repairs or such as needed for your cars. The festivities on Tuesday night will commence at 5pm and end by 9pm. A PREPAID $10.00 fee paid per person, for dinner, should be sent to your Caravan Captain, Joe Moncado, 15745 W. Beckett Lane, Olathe, KS 66062 by Wednesday August 3, 2014. (Please indicate on your check what the payment is for). This facility is paved and ideal for parking the number of cars we are expecting. This site will also be where we launch the next morning.

What are we going to do once we get there - after getting a room reserved and registered for the caravan, the next question is "what are we going to do?" Now we know, here is the event schedule.

Our plan is to host a Nashville Day on Saturday for our caravan. Here are the details. -

On Saturday morning 8/30/14 we are planning on departing Bowling Green at 0800 arriving in Nashville's Gaylord Opryland Resort around 0930 where we will park near the General Jackson Showboat where we will leave the Corvettes together in a designated parking area, then spend the next 90 minutes touring the famous destination, shopping, relaxing, etc.

After our time at Gaylord Opryland Resort we will meet back at our cars at 11:00 to parking lot and walk a short distance to the boat where boarding takes place between 11:15 and 11:45 and we depart at noon where we will be served lunch, enjoy a live performance and the opportunity to stroll the decks of the ship as we cruise down the Cumberland River for a 2:45 river cruise.

You can read all about it here -
http://www.generaljackson.com/

8/7/14 The General Jackson bookings for our group went very well with 98 tickets sold. We have filled our reserved seats and we have stopped taking orders. You may contact the General Jackson to see if they have any space available at the 2nd lunch seating.

We will return to the Gaylord Opryland Resort at 3:00 PM and will depart at 3:15PM for a four plus hour tour of Nashville which will include drop off and pick up service at a variety of stops including Music Row. To make the most of our time together on the bus we splurged and hired a tour guide. This event has sold out.

Route information has been sent out to pre-registered participants, if you have not received it send me an email at and put in the subject line Route Information.

Important Information - we will be departing the auto auction parking lot at 0730, be at your car by 0720 and let's have a safe and fun time. Our actual departure will be from the auto auction parking lot. The address is 421 N. Rawhide Drive, Columbia, MO 65201

Our caravan has been instructed to stop about 30-45 minutes out of Bowling Green and wait for the National Corvette Museum to contact us with instructions to proceed.

This could be a monumental task for a caravan as large as ours so I was left looking for an appropriate location.

And I found it...Morgantown, KY which is a small community, check them out at -

Morgantown, KY
http://morgantown-ky.com/

While in Morgantown we will have the opportunity to mingle with the residents of the community while they share their community with us. There will be plenty of parking off the downtown square which is less than 2 blocks away, around the square and on nearby side streets.

After our visit in Morgantown we will be escorted by the Kentucky State Patrol to the NCM.
