Welcome to the South Texas Caravan web page!
My name is Lake Ellis, and I am the South Texas Caravan Captain. My wife Kathi and I live in San Antonio, and we are proud members of the Texas Corvette Association. We look forward to working with every Corvette Club in South Texas to make our 2014 Caravan a memorable event. Registration for the 2014 National Corvette Caravan & 20th Anniversary:
You must register! Registration is now open for the 2014 National Corvette Caravan and 2014 20th Anniversary Celebration. You must register in order to be eligible to sign up for NCM planned activities. You can register at the following link:

Caravan Route Details
Our Caravan plans to take a direct route to Bowling Green from San Antonio. We will depart on Tuesday morning, August 26 and spend one night in Little Rock, Arkansas. We will arrive at the National Corvette Museum on Wednesday, August 27 at 4:00 PM.

A Caravan Route Book will be prepared for each car.

August 26 (Tuesday)

  • We will gather and depart from Buc-ee's, 2760 N I-35 Frontage Rd, Exit 191, New Braunfels, TX. Departure time to be determined.
  • We will Caravan north on I-35 and take the TX 45/130 Toll, (Exit 223A) Austin Bypass (80 mph). Joining I-35 again north of Georgetown.
  • Continuing on I-35, I-35E, I-20, 635, I-30, 430 to arrive at Little Rock, AR. for the evening.
  • Travel distance will be approximately 563 miles.
  • Hotel accommodations are being secured for those who have registered for the Caravan. More info to follow on hotels.

August 27, (Wednesday)

  • Leaving Little Rock early morning and traveling to Bowling Green, KY via I-40 and I-65.
  • The distance is approximately 420 Miles.
  • Rendezvous at the first Rest Area in Kentucky on I-65. We will stage here and leave at 3:30 PM to drive to the NCM (exit 28).
  • 4:00 PM, arrival at the National Corvette Museum.
  • Hotel Rooms are being secured for those who have registered for the Caravan. More info to follow on hotels.

August 28, (Thursday) Registration and time to visit the museum and vendors.
6:00 PM Dinner at Mariahs in Bowling Green. We are arranging for a guest speaker. More details to follow on dinner.

August 29 (Friday)
