I'm pleased to have Owen Michelson ( ) back as the Co-Captain in charge of the North Dakota portion of the caravan. He was a key contributor in the success of the 2009 caravan. The Central Canada enthusiasts should consider meeting the North Dakota Caravan to travel to Minneapolis. The North Dakota and Central Canada caravan will meet at Gateway Chevrolet in Fargo, ND to launch the caravan to Minneapolis on Monday, 25 August, 2014. He has a route in place and will be in Wayzata, MN about 3:00 on the 25.

I'm pleased to introduce Clair Steiner ( ) who has agreed to be the Local Leader for the South Dakota portion of the caravan. The South Dakota caravan will initiate from Billion Chevrolet, Sioux Falls, SD on Tuesday 26 August 2014 at 7:00 and travel interstate 90 to 35 (Albert Lea) and then south on 35 to Exit 214 -Northwood Iowa Rest Area and Welcome Center will meet the caravan at Exit 214 (rest stop) in Iowa.

The Minnesota, North Dakota, Central Canada and whoever else that may join our caravan will meet at 700 Twelve Oaks Center Drive, Wayzata, MN 55391 (in Google is states Hopkins 55305, but it is one in the same). This is about two blocks east of Village Chevrolet (on the same frontage road as Village).

First Day:
On Tuesday the 26th we are to assemble at 7:00 to get acquainted and will leave at 8:00. We will go east to Carlson Parkway (Linner Road) with two right hand turns to interstate 494 to 35W south. We will meet the South Dakota group at Exit 214 -Northwood Iowa Rest Area and Welcome Center. The main caravan from Wayzata will stop there for a short break.

The caravan will travel down I35 and exit at Mason City Iowa on US18E to 27/380 to Waterloo where we will stop for lunch at Rydell Chevrolet. We should be there about 11:00 or so. Our plan is to leave around 12:00-12:30 (police escort to the highway is provided). We will continue down Highway 380/6/I70 ("All Saints Highway") into St. Louis and stay at the La Quinta for the night.

Second Day:
The caravan will leave at 8:00 a.m. from the hotel in St. Louis. We will continue on I70 to Effingham IL. (Mid America) and arrive around 10:00 or so for an early snack or lunch will be served. Mid America has not got back to me on details yet. We will leave Mid America around 11:30 and (I57 and I64) travel to Poseyville, Indiana and stop at the Red Wagon Restaurant. We will meet up with the Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois and Upper Michigan caravan.

We need to leave around 2:30 to arrive at the museum at our scheduled time of 5:00. We should have a Kentucky State Trooper lead us in from the Kentucky border. We will have a parade lap around the museum and you are encouraged to stop in and pick up your caravan packet.

A handbook will be generated that contains our routes, stops, hotels etc. and will be emailed out to the caravanners next week.

Respectfully,

Paul Christopher
